A MANUAL ON PERSONAL SPIRITUAL WARFARE

A blessed day to all my blogger friends! Just as i have promised, here are some prayers which i hope could help you out in your spiritual warfare with the devil himself.

Reminders: (1) All prayers must be prayed especially when one believes an evil spirit is harrasing him/her, tempting one gravely, making one feel sick, etc; (2) Holy water, scapulars, St. Benedict's medals, a rosary, exorcised salt should be ready at hand; (3) all prayers must be prayed intently and not just merely murmuring words; (4) do not be afraid; know whom you belong to, and (5) before prayers, place yourselves in the presence of God and sense his nearness to you.

Step No. 1. Prayer for Protection.

Jesus Christ crucified, cover me, my family, relatives and friends (mention each of their names) and all our possessions with your most precious blood. Lord Jesus, we ask you to protect each and everyone of us here present at this session from sickness, harm and accidents that may occur. If any of us has been subjected to any curses, hexes, or spells, I/We declare these curses, hexes, or spells null and void in the name of JESUS CHRIST. If any evil spirits have been sent against us, I/We decommission you evil spirits in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and I/We send you at the foot of the cross to be dealt with by our Lord Jesus Himself. Then, Lord, I ask you to send your holy angels to guard and protect all of us.

(a) Prayer to the Virgin Mother of God.

Help us, Mary, show your power. Aid us in this very hour. You can quickly bring relief in necessity and grief. For your aid shall never fail. Though all else may be naught avail, You cannot despise the plea which your children make to you. Hel p us Mary, show your power. Aid us in this very hour. AMEN.

Step No. 2. Prayer for Armor.

I put on God's armor to resist the devils tactics. I stand my ground with truth buckled around my waist and integrity for a breast plate. I carry the shield of faith to put out the burning arrows of the evil one. I accept salvation from God to be my helmet and receive the Word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword.

Step No. 3. Prayer for Deliverance.

(Note: As carefully reminded by all exorcists and some of my Spiritual Warrior friends, these prayers should be recited and prayed slowly, clearly and with confidence. Avoid, raising your voice in anger, the devil likes you when you do this as you become little like him. Rather, your voice should be mild but commanding, the devil rejects this action because humility is never a word for him. while saying these prayers, sprinkle holy water and if holding a cross, showing the same to the possessed.)

IN THE NAME OF JESUS OF NAZARETH + through His tremendous power as God and through HIs most powerful and salvific Name, I rebuke, repudiate, bind and cast out all spirits not of the Holy Spirit. I command you, in the Name of Jesus + to depart right now from (state name of person, or place) and go immediately and directly to the foot of the Cross and never more to return. (these should be repeated as many times as possible or until, one from your group has discerned that the evil spirit has already left the person or place).

(then follow through with the prayer to the Holy Spirit asking for his assistance and his in-filling)

O Most Holy Spirit enter into the empty spaces left by these evil spirits and fill (mention name or place) with your Holy presence, love and protection. Please do not allow these evil spirits to return.

(if afterwards, there seems to be some form of retaliation from the evil spirit, like sickness, pain and depression use the prayer of deliverance but instead of saying "all spirits not of the Holy Spirit" say instead "spirits of retaliation and all accompanying spirits". *It may be well to include also the prayer of St. Benedict and prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel* then follow through with the prayer for cleansing and thanksgiving).

(b) Prayer to the Holy Angels

Holy Angels of God, we pray that you remain and stand around our brother/sister/place and never let any of the evil spirits go near him/her or place. Let the fire of your swords cover our brother/sister/place and consume those who wish them/it harm. Let its light cover the entire surroundings so that no evil may dare come back this way and threaten the peace of the persons/place. We asked this in the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Our LORD. AMEN.

Step NO. 4. Prayer for Cleansing.

Heavenly Father, In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, by the in-filling power of the God the Holy Spirit, we pray that the cleansing power of the Most Precious Blood of your Son descend upon us now who are all here present. Purify us and wash us clean with the Blood of Jesus from the top of our head down to the very soles of our feet. Let it penetrate the very marrow of our bones to cleanse us from any entanglement from whatever spirit not of the Holy Spirit whom we have come in contact with during the course of this intercessory prayer. Anoint us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and refresh our body, mind and soul and may the sign of victory, which is the Holy Cross + drive away all sevil spirits from us. IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER + SON+ and HOLY SPIRIT+. AMEN.

Step No. 5. Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving.

(note: any prayer susceptible of praise and thanksgiving can be said).


Note: all prayers contained in this manual were taken from Fr. Jocis Syquia's book
Exorcism, Encounters with the Paranormal and Occult. May this prayers simple as it is help us all in our heavy encounter with the Father of Lies (satan).

Mary, seat of Wisdom pray for us.

St. Joseph, Terror of Demons, pray for us.

St. Michael and all the Archangels, intercede for us.

How do we say our prayers? Latin vs. English ?

Many these days have shown interest in saying their prayers in latin, which i find nothing wrong about. Since our rich Catholic heritage have mostly taken its roots in the middle east where during the Roman occupation then the dialect used was mostly in latin, a Roman language.

In the so-called esoteric circles, it is most widely accepted that prayers used in its original purest form are deemed to be the powerful ones in this case latin for the matter. However, if we are to look back during the times of our Lord Jesus and His disciples, the prayers and even the dialect then being used by the Jews is the Aramaic a semitic language along with arabic. Prayers uttered and taught by our Lord Jesus in the aramaic are very powerful indeed. If this is the case then, where is the place of latin prayers or to put it simply does prayers uttered in latin inferior to the original (aramaic)? Similarly, as between the latin and the english language which we are accustomed to, is the latter far inferior than the former? The answer is no. Prayers does not depend on the language in which it is being used, what is important is that what was being uttered was done prayerfully or that which proceeded out of one's heart without any hesitation, meaning the same was done in utter purity of one's own being.

The problem with the present thought espoused by some is that, the prayers they teach or proposed are powerful and worthy of clinging on to. We must remember the simple the prayer, the one which God tends to hear first. That is why in the scriptures, we are urged in the Gospels to become more like little children. Children are oftentimes seen as very simple devoid of any complexities whatsoever. When they asked for something, it more of direct and in plain language. If we should follow this teaching, then it will not really matter what medium of language should we used, what is really important is that we have FAITH. And it is faith which makes our prayers heard. God bless to all.

CONTINUATION OF OUR LADY'S MESSAGE

Dear readers, here is the last of the four messages conveyed by Mama Mary to Fr. Gobbi in 1979, which is so apparent today. As you read on, please meditate and pray.

MSGE. NO. 171 - THE FOURTH SIGN: PERSECUTION

"Remain, all of you, in the refuge of my Immaculate Heart and you will find your peace and interior serenity.
My beloved sons, the storm which I foretold at Fatima has now unleashed its fury for the purification of the Church and all the world. This is the hour of the Father's mercy which through the love of the Son's divine heart, is made manifest at the moment when everyone's suffering is at its greatest.

The fourth sign which indicates to you that the culminating period of the church's painful purification has come, is persecution. The Church is in fact being persecuted in various ways.

She is being persecuted by the world in which she lives and journeys, pointing out to all the way to salvation. The real enemies of God are those who set themselves deliberately against God, in order to lead all humanity to live without Him; it is they who are persecuting the Church more and more.

Sometimes, she is persecuted in an open and violent manner; she is despoiled of everything and prevented from preaching the Gospel of Jesus.

But in these times, the Church is often subjected to an even greater ordeal; she is persecuted in a subtle and painless manner, by being deprived bit by bit of the oxygen which she needs to live. Then, an attempt is made to bring her to compromise with the spirit of the world, which thus enters into her and affestc and paralyzes her vitality.

Collaboration is often brought about through a most subtle form of persecution; an outward show of respect for her has become the surest way to strike her.

A new technique has been discovered by which she can be put to death with no outcry and without shedding blood.

The Church is being persecuted also from within, especially at the hands of those "sons" of hers who have reached a compromise with the adversary. He has succeeded in seducing even some of her very pastors. Some of these are even knowingly collaborating in this plan of interior and hidden persecution of my Church.

My beloved sons are being called to the trial of finding themselves sometimes obstructed, pushed aside and persecuted by some of their own confreres (brothers), while those who are unfaithful have free scope for their action.


The same hours of suffering that my Son, Jesus lived through are awaiting you too, beloved sons: the hours of Gethsemane, when he experienced the interior agony of being abandoned , betaryed and denied by his own....


If this is the road trodden by the Master, it is also the road which you too must tread, you his faithful disciples, as the purification of the entire Church becomers more painful.


Have confidence, beloved Sons, apostles of my Immaculate Heart!


No other trial will serve so much to bring about the complete renewal of the Church as this interior persecution. In fact, she will emerged from this suffering purer , more humble, more enlightened, stronger.

You must be ready to suffer more and more, the clkoser the final moment of purification comes. and so I have wished to prepare a safe refuge for you.

In my Immaculate Heart you will be consoled and formed in the virtue of fortitude, as you become more and more aware of the presence of your heavenly Mother at your side. she will gather up your suffering s, as beneath the Cross she did those of Jesus, because she must now carry out once again for the Church her maternal function as co-redemptrix, and lead back to the Father all the children who have gone astray."

A BRIEF EXPLANATION ON WHAT IS THE "EVIL EYE"

I do not pretend to be an authority on subjects that are posted in this blog. However, having learned from lectures, symposiums, and from my experience itself and those which i have learned from my priests friends i would like to share this subject, which i have entitled " Brief explanation on what is the evil eye".

In one of the lectures i have attended, one speaker spoke and explained what the Evil eye means and according to this fellow, when he meant by the Evil Eye, what he had in his mind is that object which is a triangular form with an eye in the middle and surrounded by three big letter A's. According to this poor guy, this is an occult object used by some new agers and even those practicing the occult which accordingly produces some supernatural powers. However, after that lecture/retreat actually, i consulted several spiritual warfare books and some who are in the Liberation Ministry (Deliverance) and tried to find out what the Evil Eye really is. Some opined and agreed with the earlier description given that it refers to that triangular object with an engraved eye at the middle. However, this is a misnomer, a misconception actually. From my point of view, when we mention the word "Evil eye" it refers mainly to those malicious and evil glances with the intention of doing some harm on the person being looked at to. It is not an object but rather, it is as i have already said a malicious intention proceeding out in one's mind with the intent of having it carried out either physically or spiritually to do harm on a certain person.

It is said that the "Eye" is the window of the soul and such is true. Because when one tries to look at a window and maybe tries to look inside, the onlooker sees many different things. Similarly, a person with an "evil intention" can easily be detected through his/her eye, though at times people with weak spirituality, seldom sees it but feels it manifestation when that person feels something amiss or not right with his or herself.

In the realm of spiritual warfare, not all curses, hexes, or spells are transmitted verbally, there are times when these malevolent things are transmitted through the mind via one's eye. Notice, when a person is angry, that person vents his or her anger by way of speaking to the mind and throwing a killer stare (i.e. in some everyday situations when one is mad at a certain person, that person usually say at the back of his mind "mamatay ka na sana" or masagasaan ka sana") then suddenly that wish or curse comes true. Coincidence? to some yes. But i don't fully agree, why, because, the mind is so powerful that it could do harm if proper concentration is fully utilized coupled with the fact that around us evil lurks at every moment.

Thus, to sum it up, Evil Eye is often times felt and not seen. That is why in spiritual warfare, there is always a prayer for protection against the Evil Eye, because we will never ever know the true intentions of people whom we get to mingle everyday.

CONTINUATION OF OUR LADY'S MESSAGES

MSGE 170 - THE THIRD SIGN: DIVISION

-Today, my Immaculate Heart trembles and is anguished to see the division within the Church. This division, which has penetrated the Church, is the third sign which indicates to you with certainty that the final moment of her painful purification has come.

- If in the course of the centuries , the Church has many times been torn by division which has led many of my children to separate themselves to her. I nevertheless, obtained from Jesus the singular privilege of her interior unity.

- But in this times, my adversary has with his smoke, succeeded in darkening even the light of the divine prerogative of the Church (remember the late Pope Paul Vl, when he said: The Smoke of Satan has penetrated the Church).

- The interior division is manifesting itrslef even among the faithful who often set themselves one against the other, in an attempt to defend and promote the truth. Thus, the truth is betrayed by even them, as the Gospel of my Son cannot be divided.

- This interior division sometimes even leads priests to set themselves against priests, bishops against bishops and cardinals against cardinals, for never before in these times has Satan so succeeded in finding his way into their midst, rending asunder the precious bond of their mutual love.

- This interior division is expressed by the tendency to leave to himself and to abandon , so to speak , the very Vicar of Jesus, the Pope, who is a son particularly loved and enlightened by me.

- My mother's heart is wounded to see how the silence and neglect of my children often envelop the words and actions of the Holy Father, while he is increasingly struck and impeded by his adversaries.

- Because of this interior division, his very ministry is not sufficiently supported
and furthered by the whole Church whom Jesus has wanted to be united about the successor of Peter .

- My motherly heart grieves to see how even some pastors refuse to let themselves be guided by his enlightening and trustworthy words.

- The first way of being separated from the Pope is that of OPEN REBELLION. But, there is also another way, MORE SUBTLE & DANGEROUS. IT IS THAT OF PROCLAIMING ONE'S UNITY OPENLY, BUT OF DISSENTING FROM HIM INTERIORLY, letting his teaching fall into void and in practice, doing the contrary of what he says.

- Oh Church, mystical body of my Jesus, in your painful journey to
Calvary, you have reached the eleventh station and you see yourself wrenched and torn in your members, which are again nailed to the cross!

-What must you do, my sons, apostles of my Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart? You must become hidden seed, ready even to die for the internal unity of the Church.

- And so, I am leading you each day to a very great love for and fidelity to, the Pope and the Church united to him. For this reason, I am now letting you share in the anxiety of my motherly heart: For this reason, I am forming you in the heroism of sanctity and leading you with me up Calvary. Through you, also, I will be able to help the Church emerge from her painful purification , so that in her all splendor of her restored unity may be manifest to the world."

St. Michael the archangel,
defend us in the day of battle,
be our safeguard, against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.

Continuation of Our Lady's Messages

Msge 169 - THE SECOND SIGN: LACK OF DISCIPLINE

Today my Heart is wounded anew by seeing so many of my beloved sons who live without docility to the will of God, because they do not observe and often openly disdain the laws proper to their priestly state. Thus, lack of dicipline is spreading in the Church and reaping victims, even from among her very pastors.

This is the second sign which indicates to you that, for the Church the final time of purification has come: a lack of discipline which has spread throughout all levels, especially among the clergy.

It is lack of discipline to be wanting in interior docility to the will of God, a lack of discipline which is manifested by the flouting of those obligations which are proper to your state of life: the obligation to pray, to give good example, to lead a holy and apostolic life. How many there are, among the priests, who allow themselves to become absorbed in excessive activity and who no longer pray! They habitually neglect the Liturgy of the Hours, meditation and recitation of the Holy Rosary. They limit their prayer to a hrried celebration of the Holy Mass.

And so my poor sons become interiorly empty and no longer have the light and strength to resist the many snares amidst which they live. They thus become contaminated by the spirit of the world and accept its way of life, share its values, take part in the profane manifestations, allow themselves to be conditioned by its methods of propaganda and, in the end come to adopt its very mentality. And so, they end up by living as minsiters of the world, according to its spirit which they justify and propagate, thus, provoking scandal amongst many of the faithful.

From this springs the growing REBELLION AGAINST CANONICAL NORMS which REGULATE THE LIFE OF PRIESTS, and the recurring objection to the obligation of SACRED CELIBACY, desired by Jesus as expressed by His Church, and which has at this time been once again strongly reaffirmed by the Pope.

It is lack of discipline to disregard with ease the norms which the Church has laid down for the regulation of liturgical and ecclessisatical life.

Today, each one tends to direct himself according to his own tastes or free choice, and with what scandalous facility are violated the norms of the Church, which have been reaffirmed again and again by the Holy Father, such as the obligation for priests to wear the ecclessiastical dress!

Alas!sometimes the first to continue disobeying this prescription are the pastors themselves, and it is their bad example which then fosters lack of discipine in all sectors of the Church.

This disorder, which is spreading in the Church, indicates to you with clarity that the final moment of her purification has come.

What must you do, beloved sons of your heavenly Mother, apostles of light of my Immaculate Heart?

Let yourselves be carried in my arms, as my tiniest babes, and I will make you perfectly docile to the will of the Father.

Thus, to everyone, you will give a good example of perfect obedience to the laws of the Church, and your heavenly Mother will be able to use you to restore order in her house, so that after the suffering, the triumph of her Immaculate Heart may shine forth in the Church."

MESSAGES OF OUR DEAR MOTHER MARY

Good evening to all! Again, I would like to posts some of Mother Mary's messages to Father Stefano Gobbi, Head, Marian Movement of Priests. These messages focuses on the state of the Church as ever. As you read on, I urge you to listen interiorly and may you heed the request of Our Lady for continuous prayer. These 4 messages were given separately in the year 1979, first of which I post tonight :

Msge. No. 168 - The First Sign: Confusion

"Beloved children, take refuge in my Immaculate Heart. The glorious reign of Christ will be preceded by a great suffering which will serve to purify the Church and the world and lead them to their complete renewal. Jesus had already begun his merciful work of renewal with the Church, his spouse. Various signs indicate to you that the time of purification has come to the Church: The first of these is the confusion which reigns there. This in fact is the time of its greatest confusion. Confusion is spreading within the Church, where everything in the field of dogma, liturgy and discipline is being subverted. These include truths revealed by my Son and which the Church has defined once and for all, thorugh her divine and infallible authority. These truths are unchangeable, as the very truth of God is unchangeable. Many of these form part of real mysteries in the strict sense of the word, because they are not and never can be understood by human intelligence. Man must accept them with humilit, by an act of pure faith and firm trust in God who has revealed them and proposed them to men of all times, thorugh the Magisterium of the Church.

But now, there is spread abroad a most dangerous tendency of wanting to penetrate and understand everything - even mysteries - to such a point that only that part of the truth is accepted which can be understood by human intelligence. There is the design to, unveil the very mystery of God. Any truth which is not understood by reason is rejected. There is an inclination to propose all revealed truth in a new and rationalistic way, under the illusion of making it acceptable to all. Thus, truth is being corrupted with error. Error is being spread in a most dangerous way, namely, as a new and modern way of understanding the truth; and it ends by subverting the very truths which are the foundation of the Catholic faith. They are not denied openly, but they are accepted in such an equivocal way that doctrine is most seriously compromised by error in an unprecedented manner. As a result, talk and discussion go on and on, but there is no longer any belief , and the darkness of error spreads.

The confusion which tends to prevail within the church and to subvert its truths is the first sign which indicates to you with certainty that the time of her purification has come.

The Church is in fact Christ who is living mystically in your midst. Christ is the TRUTH. The Church must therefore always shine with the light of Christ who is the truth. But at present, its Adversary has succeeded, through his subtle and deceitful works , in bringing much darkness into its interior. And today the Church is darkened by the smoke of Satan. Satan has first of all bedimmed the understanding and the thinking of many of my children, seducing them through vainglory and pride, and through them he has darkened the Church.

You beloved sons of your heavenly Mother, you, the apostles of my Immaculate Heart, are being called today for this purpose: to fight by word and example that the truth may be more and more accepted by all . Thus, the darkness of confusion will be defeated by light.

For this reason, you must live the Gospel of my Son, Jesus to the letter. You must be pruely and simply, the living gospel. Then you must proclaim to all, with strength and courage , the Gospel which you live . Your words will have the power of the Holy Spirit who will fill you, and the light of the wisdom given you by your heavenly Mother. (. . .)"

(Note: When mentioning this last few verses, it would be better if the one making it should also make motion for the Sign of the Cross or stretching out the Holy Cross of St. Benedict at a person being possessed or at the direction where one could sense the presence of malevolent enemy).

THOUGHTS

Good day to all! Its, Halloween time once again. These are the times when most people busy themselves with parties, trick or treats, telling tales of horror, of the macabre. But most of us forget the real meaning of this day especially to us christians. This is the day of remembering those people who in their lifetime on this earth made heroic virtues, done good deeds for the greater glory of God. These are the Saints whom we pay homage and venerate (not worship). So sad, that instead of making this day a day of meditation on their virtues so that we could at least follow their footsteps, we busy ourselves in talking about the preternatural (ghosts, ghoulies, devilish characters, occult science, tarot, etc.) which can not help us elevate our souls spiritually. We even make fun of wearing horns, masks of devilish creatures instead of encouraging our children and members of the family to increase their love for the Lord our God, WHO IS, WHO WAS, WHO IS TO COME. A very pitiable state, for we again are reduce to mere pagans. We act as if, we were not saved by the saving blood of our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins and later on rose to life after three days to regain victory over death. Because of our sins, we were condemned to die, but because Yahweh loved us so much, He did not permit this so to happen, but sent His only Son, to save us! These, we should put into mind always - there is no power greater than the power of our God. No spell, no curse, no demon can overcome and overturn us, because we are Children of the same FATHER whom Jesus always call and pray to. AD MAJOREM DEI GLORIAM.

You are the doctor and physician of our soul. You are the salvation of those who turn to You. We beseech You to make powerless, banish and drive out every diabolic power, presence, and machination; every evil influence, malefice or evil eye and all actions aimed against your servant ....where there is envy and malice, giver us abundance of goodness, endurance, victory and charity.

O Lord, You Who love man, we beg you to reach out your powerful hands and Your most high and mighty arms and come to our aid. Help us, who are made in YOur image;send the angel of peace over us, to protect us bodyand soul. EVERY MINUTE ZEN

Good evening bloggers. The Peace of the Lord above be with you. Namaste! Shalom! and Salam! I just would like to share the importance of living always in the present. You might say, ah! it need not be anymore, as we are doing it already. If that is so, then go on and read this story:

"Zen students are with their masters at least ten (10) years before they presume to teach others. Nan-in was visited by Tenno, who having passed his apprenticeship, had become a teacher. The day happened to be rainy, so Tenno wore wooden clogs and carried an umbrella. After greeting him, Nan-in remarked: 'I suppose you left your wooden clogs in the vestibule. I want to know if your umbrella is on the right or left side of the clogs.'

Tenno, confused, had no instant answer. He realinzed that he was unable to carry his Zen every minute. He became Nan-in's pupil, and he studied six more years to accomplish his every minute Zen." (Zen flesh, Zen bones, 101 Zen Stories).

The question now, i propound to you, Do you know now where you left your umbrella, a while ago, is it on the right or left side of the clogs?.......

LEARNING TO BE SILENT

The pupils of the Tendai School used to study meditation before Zen entered Japan. Four of them who were intimate friends promised one another to observe seven days of silence.

On the first day all were silent. Their meditation began auspiciously, but when night came and the oil lamps were growing dim one of the pupils could not help exclaiming to a servant: "Fix those lamps."
The second pupil was surpirsed to hear the first one talk. "We are not supposed to say a word" he remarked.
"You two are stupid. Why did you talk?" asked the third.
"I am the only one who has not talked," concluded the fourth pupil.

TRUE WISDOM

"Who is wise and instructed among you? Let him by his good behavior show his work in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jelousy and contentions in your hearts , do not glory and be liars against the truth. This is not the wisdom that descends from above. IT IS EARTHLY, SENSUAL, DEVILISH. For where there is envy and contentiousness, there is instability and every wicked deed. But the wisdom that is from aboveis first of all CHASTE, then PEACEABLE,MODERATE, DOCILE, in harmony with good things full of mercy and GOOD FRUITS, without judging, without dissimulation. The fruit of justice is sown in peace by those who make peace."

"Whence do wars and quarrels come among you? Is it not from this, from your passions, which wage warin your members? You covet and do not have; you kill and envy, and cannot obtain. You quarrel and wrangle, and you do not have because you do not ask. YOU ASK AND DO NOT RECEIVE, BECAUSE YOU ASK AMISS, that you may spend it upon your passions. KNOWING WHEN TO TALK

" A person can be rebuked in the wrong way, it may be wiser to keep quiet than to speak. But it is much better to rebuke the person than to keep your anger bottled up. Admit when you are wrong and you will avoid embarassment. Using force to get a point across is like a castrated man trying to rape a girl. Some people are taught to be wise because they don't talk too much; others are disliked because they talk too much. Some people keep quiet because they don't have anything to say ; others keep quiet because they know the right time to speak. A wise person will not speak until the right moment but a bragging fool doesn't know when that time is. No one can stand a person who talks too long and will not give others a chance to speak". (SIRACH 20:1-8)

THE TIME OF THE END

"The angel wearing linen clothes saith, 'At that time the great angel Michael, who guards your people will appear. Then there will be a time of troubles, the worst since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, all the people of your nation whose names are written in God's book will be saved. Many of those who have already died will live again some will enjoy eternal life, and some will suffer eternal disgrace. The wise leaders will shine with all brightness of the sky. And those who have taught many people to do what is right will shine like stars forever". (Daniel 12:1-5)

THE AWFUL HORROR

"You will see the Awful Horror standing in the place where he should not be. Then those who are in Judea must run away to the hills. A man who is on the roof of his house must not lose time in going down into the house to get anything to take with him. A man who is in the field must not go back to his house for his cloak. How terrible it will be in those days for women who are pregnant and for mothers with little babies! Pray to God that these things will not happen in the winter! For the trouble of those days will be far worse than any of the world has ever known from the very beginning when God created the world until the present time . Nor will there ever be ever anything like it again. But the Lord has reduced the number of those days; If he had not nobody would survive. For the sake of His chosen people, however he has reduce those days.

Then, if anyone says to you, 'Look there is the messiah or there he is! - do not believe him. For false Messiahs and false prophets will appear. They will perform miracles and wonders in order to deceive even God's chosen people, if possible be on your guard! I have told you ahead of time." (MARK 13: 14-22)

TROUBLES & PERSECUTIONS

"Jesus said to them : Watch out and don't let anyone fool you. Many men claiming to speak for Me, will come and say, 'I am He' and they will fool many people. And don't be troubled when you hear the noise of battles close by and news of battles far away. Such things must happen but they do not mean that the end has come. Countries will fight each other; kingdoms will attack one another. There will be earthquakes everywhere, and there will be famines. These things are like the first pains of birth.

You yourselves must watch out. You will be arrested and taken to court. You will be beaten in the synagogues; you will stand before rulers and kings for my sake to tell them the Good News. But before the end comes, the gospel must be preached to all peoples. And when you are arrested and taken to court do not worry ahead of time about what you are going to say ; when the time comes, say whatever is then given to you. For the words you speak will not be yours, they will come from the Holy Spirit. Men will hand over their brothers to be put to death , and fathers will do the same to their children. Children will turn against their parents and have them put to death. Everyone will hate you because of Me , but whoever holds out to the end will be saved." (MARK 13: 3-13)

SACRAMENTALS - How does it differ from those we call as amulets/charms?

Good evening to all of you dear fellow bloggers! Tonight, i just would like to post some of my thoughts on Sacramentals and Amulets. Sacramentals are those things which the Holy Mother Church blesses for the intention of arousing in ourselves lively sentiments of faith. In the past, wearers of these sacramentals whether in the form of medals, rosaries, or holy water itself deem it to be some kind of heavenly protection on one's person. On the otherhand, Amulets and charms are of pagan origin designed and kept by person believing that these would protect him/her from harm. Glancing from these statements, there is one common word worth discussing or delving for - Protection. Yes, both are used for protection, although, in the case of sacramentals, it is more directed in arousing our faith in God. Unlike, in the use of amulets or charms, the mind is focused on the thing itself, although it uses formulas derived from prayers, but the intention is on the amulet or charm. An amulet wearer would say i do have faith in the one i call upon, because He protects me - if this is so, then why most of them feel restless, whenever they forget to bring along with them their "things". If the same truly arouses faith just like in sacramentals, then why fear if the said amulet whatever you call it is not with you or not on your bodies. This is not the kind of faith in which the Lord Jesus Christ taught us. If one has faith, he or she does not need any outward things to help him/her. It is enough that deep within our hearts we believe in the powerful words of our Saviour, that He will defend and protect us wherever we are, whatever we are in.

I for one do have these "things" (see previous posts) but i never considered them as lucky charms or objects of protection, rather, whenever, i have them with me, though i don't mumble many prayers, i do believe that God's protection is with me, for i am HIS child. The same feeling also occurs even though i don't have them with me. We must remember - it is not the thing itself that brings protection, rather it is the one whom we remember whenever we see those "things".

SACRAMENTS & SACRAMENTALS

A blessed Sunday to all! What i am about to tackle now is the subject of Sacraments & Sacramentals. For many, sacraments and sacramentals are the same. But there is a very big difference in meaning between the two words. From my cathechesis, a Sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Christ for the purpose of giving grace to souls. On the otherhand, a Sacramental is also an outward sign but the difference lies in the one who instituted it and the reason why it was instituted. Sacramentals are instituted by the Church and do not give of themselves give grace. Rather, they dispose us for grace by arousing in us sentiments of faith and love which make a claim upon God for answering grace. Whatever grace we may obtain through the use of the sacramentals comes to us because of our own interior dispositions and because of the power of the Church's prayers which backs up the sacramentals. Some of the more known sacramentals are the following : Holy Water, articles of devition such as candles, ashes, palms, crucifixes, medals, rasaries, scapulars, images of our LOrd and the Blessed Mother. Sacramentals are likewise actions and they are the various blessings and exorcism which the church imparts through her bishops and priests. some blessings are of dedicatory in nature, such as blessing of a chalice, an altar, Mass vestments or some other thing that is to be set aside and used exclusively for Divine worship. Other blessings are simply invocative, bespeaking God's bounty and protection in regard to the thing or the person (i.e. blessing of the home, automobiles, fields of crops, of infants.

There is a very special kind of sacramental action and that is Exorcism, in which the Church, in Christ's Name, commands the devil to leave/depart the body of the person whom he has taken possession of. It must be remembered that before Jesus's death on the cross, Satan's power over man and nature was much greater than it is now. That is why diabolical possession was much more common before Calvary than it is now. But by Jesus' death on the cross, we all know that we have been redeemed that because of it the dominion of Satan was broken. Rarely now that God permits diabolical possession.

That is why the Church, before allowing an official exorcism, is very careful to determine that it is a real case of possession and not just mere mental disturbance. Moreover, only a priest who has obtained faculty from a bishop can perfom an exorcism solemnly and after only a period of fasting and prayer in preparation for the attack of the father of lies.

THESSALONIANS 2:1-8

'Our brothers, you yourselves know that our visit to you was not a failure. You know how we had already been mistreated and insulted in Philippi before we came to you in Thessalonica. and even though there was much opposition , our God gave us courage to tell you the Good News that comes from him. Our appeal to you is not based on error or impure motives, nor do we try to trick anyone. Instead, we always speak as God wants us to because He has judged as worthy to be entrusted with the Good News. We do not try to please men, but to please God who tests our motives. You know very well that we did not come to you with flaterring talk, nor did we use words to cover up greed - God is our witness! We did not try to get praise from anyone either from you or from others even though as apostles of Christ we could have made demands on you. But we were gentle when we were with you, like a mother taking care of her children. Because of OUR LOVE for you we were ready to share with you not only the Good News from God but even our own lives. You were so dear to us."

WHAT IS PRAYER? & WHY DO WE PRAY?

Prayer is the lifting up of our minds and hearts to God. We 'lift our minds' to God when we truly direct our attention to HIM alone and nothing else. It is the time when we pour out our thoughts our hearts, what we feel about our God. It is a loving conversation between a soul and his Creator.

So sad that today, many have strayed away from what prayer should be. The act has been truly abused! Aside from the fact that many individuals at present view it as just a form of asking for something, say a favor, or a petition, many have recourse to it to obtain and manipulate spiritual power. And this is true among power seekers, they say that this particular prayer or orasyon or that so and so has special spiritual powers attached to it ; that you can summon celestial spirits or you can order those spirits to do some favor for you. My friend, is that how we look and view our God? Is God our servant? I am just trying to put up this question for you to realize and meditate for awhile - Why do you pray?

We pray not in order to gain some special spiritual powers as others say. We pray because as God's creature we are eternally indebted to Him, being a recipient of his bounty. We must not forget that God made us body and soul. We belong to Him one hundred percent . Every good thing that comes to us has its source in God. We depend upon him for the very air that we breathe. And becausze of this relationship, we owe God the duty of prayer. In Fr. Trese's book, The Faith Explained, he said that 'prayer is an act of justice, not merely an act of piety.' Prayer is a DEBTthat we must pay, not merely a graceful gesture that we choose to make".

Prayer likewise is not mechanical or has to be memorized so that it could be repeated over and over. Earlier as is i have stated, prayer is a loving conversation between a soul and his creator, between the lover and his beloved. If then this is so, words become inadequate, because then we are already basked in bliss where words and feelings have no meaning.Where everything is just you and God. Try to reminisce your moments with your wife, husband or loved one, sometimes there is nothing to discuss and you just merely stare and look at your beloved, now does it mean that your conversation had stopped? Of course not, it has merely transcended from words to wordlessness.

THE ROLE OF THE ANGELS

A pleasant good afternoon to all of you. Many have attempted to discuss the role of the angels in our midst. Let me share to you now, their real role as expounded by Our Blessed Mother Mary in one of her messages to Father Gobbi :

"Today, the Church is celebrating the Feast of the Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, and Rafael. It is also your feast, beloved sons, because the angels of the Lord have a very important part to play in my victorious plan. See now what a roleis theirs: under my command, they are fighting a terrible battle against Satan and all the wicked spirits. It is a struggle proceeding more particularly on the level of spirits, fought with intelligence and a perfect adhesion to the plans of the two great opposing leaders, the Woman clothed with the sun and the Red Dragon.

To St. Michael has been given the task of clothing you with the strength of God Himself. He fights against the most dangerous snares of Satan, which is that of weakening you, bringing you to discouragement and to weariness. HOw many of you have stopped along the way of the consecration you have made to me, because of this human weakness of yours!

It is weakness that leads you to doubt, to uncertainty, to fear, to uneasiness. This is the temptation of my Adversary, to render you ineffective, locked up inside yourselves, hampered by your own problems, incapable of any real apostolic offensive.

The Archangel Gabriel has the task of helping you to grow in trust, by clothing you in the strength of God. And so it is that everyday he leads you along the path of courage, of firmness, of a faith that is heroic and pure.

To St. Raphael is given the task of pouring balm upon your wounds. HOw often Satansuceeds in wounding you with sin, harming you by his decietful allurements! He makes you feel the weight of your misery, of your incapacity and frailty, and stops your advance along the path of perfect giving.

Then also, to St. Raphael is given the task of accompanying you along the road I have traced out for you, supplying you with the medeicine that will heal all your spiritual ailments. Each day he makes your footsteps more secure, your resolutions less uncertain, your acts of love and of the apostolate more courageous; he makes your response to my wishes more decisive, and your minds more attentive to my maternal plan, and you fight your battle, strengthened by his heavenly balm.

To St. Michael is given the task of defending you from the frightful attacks Satan unleashes against you. In these times, my beloved ones who have accepted my invitation and are consecrated to My Immaculate Heart, and all my children who have come to be part of my victorious cohort, are targets assailed with particular fury and ferocity on the part of my adversary and yours. Satan attacks you on the spiritual field with every kind of temptation and suggestion, to bring you to evil, to disorientation, to doubt and to distrust. Often he uses his favorite weapon, which is that of diabolical suggestion and impure temptation. He attacks you with terrible snares, frequently forcing you into a position of danger. Even physically, he makes attempts upon your life and personal safety.

It is the Archangel Michael, Patron of the Universal Church, who, with his great power, intervenes and joins combat to liberate you from the Evil One and his dangerous snares. For this reason, I invite you to invoke his protection with the DAILY RECITAL of that brief but so very efficacious prayer exorcism composed by Pope Leo Xlll ( see August posting for the prayer).

You see now that the angels of the Lord have an important role in the battle plan for the present conflict: you should always live in their company. Theirs is a function which is invaluable and irreplaceable : they are close to you, engaged in the same struggle : they give you force and courage, heal your many wounds, defend you from evil; and with you they form the mightiest part of the victorious cohort commanded by the Heavenly Leader."

Due to the present spiritual battle we are all facing, i would like to share a prayer which you yourself can use in times when it is most needed.

Prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel

The Benefit of Mantra repetitions

To begin with, what is a Mantra? Mantras are set of words taken from the scriptures or Names of God which are recited repetitiously using the medium of vocalization aided sometimes by the use a rosary beads, japa beads (mala). Contrary to some, mantras does not solely belong to one religion or sect but can be use generally regardless of his/her belief.

Mantras are not magic words or phrases as oppose to those who believe in magic (sorry for the pun), but are aids or means for one to link his spirit to the Divine Being, once the practitioner or the devotee reaches the peak of his meditation, the mantra or seed word ceases. It only comes back or shows itself, when the meditator loses track of his/her object of meditation due to distractions coming from without (e.g. external noise, itchiness feeling, or some negative feelings, etc.) Then, how does one benefit from it? The benefit itself lies in the constant repetition of the Names or attributes of God or a verse/verses from the scripture, such as "maranatha", "gate, gate, paragate, parasamgate bodhisattvha". The moment one gets accustomed to the word and the sound, the easier for him/her to reach the state of calmness which would lead him further deep into contemplation and thus, attain its object, which is God - a divine conversation with the Lord of Lords or just having a loving moments with our Creator. Sancta Animasola,
Solong liwanag ng Diyos Ama,
ilaw ng Tatlong persona,
ako po ay ipag adya.
Amang kabanal-banalan,
Amang kalakas-lakasan,
Amang walang kamatayan,
Ako po ay itangkakal.
Alam ko po Dakilang Ama,
ako sa iyo'y nagkasala;

TRUE SPIRIT & FALSE SPIRITS

1 JOHN : 1-5

My dear friends, do not believe all who claim to have the Spirit, but test them to find out if the spirit they have cames from God. For many false prophetshave gone out everywhere. This is how you will be able to know whether it is God's Spirit: anyone who acknowledges that Jesus Christ came as a human being has the spirit who comes from God. But anyone who denies this about Jesus does not have the spirit from God. The spirit that he has is from the enemy of Christ: you heard that it would come , and now it is here in the world already.

But you belong to God, my children, and have defeated the false prophets, because the Spirit who is in you is more powerful than the spirit in those who belong to the world. Those false prophets speak about matters of the world, and the world listens to them, because they belong to the world. But we belong to God. WHOEVER KNOWS God listens to us; whoever does not belong to God does not listen to us. This, then, is how we can tell the difference between the Spirit of Truth and from the spirit of ERROR.

THE LORD IS THE ONLY GOD

ISAIAH 44 : 1-2,6

the Lord Almighty, has this to say:

GOD BUT ME".

ANO BA ANG MEDALYA NG SAN BENITO

ANO BA ANG MEDALYA NI SAN BENITO?

Saan man ikaw ay dumako, marami ang makikita mo na mayroon sabit na medalya ni San Benito. Karamihan, pinaniniwalaan na isang agimat o anting-anting. Pero ano nga ba ito at ang lugar nito sa isang mananampalataya? Ang medalyon na ito ay hindi dapat ipangaral bilang isang agimat o anting-anting ayon na din sa turo ng Inang Simbahan, bagkus dapat itong tingnan bilang isang tagapagpaalala na kahit saan man tayo naroroon ay taglay natin ang patnubay at proteksyon ng Diyos.

Mayroon akong nakikita dito sa amin, na taglay ang banal na medalyon, ngunit ito ay ginagamit upang makapang-akit ng mga babae. Minsan ay ginagamit din upang subukan ang lakas ng ibang mga GAMIT. Sa madaling salita, masyadong inaabuso ang gamit ng banal na medalyong ito.

Mayroon akong mga kasamahan dati na involved sa Deliverance o pagpapalayas ng masasamang espirito na ginagamit ang mga panalangin sa medalyon na ultimo mga kasamahan namin na mayroong gamit ng San Benito, lalo na yaon daw mga bili sa mga bangketa sa Quiapo ay pinararatangan na isang mag-aanting o di kaya'y New Ager. Ang ginagawa ng mga ito ay magpe-perform ng ritual exorcismo at bubugahan sa pamamagitan ng pag-ihip o bulong ng dasal na "Vade Retro" itong mga kawawang pinaghihinalaan na mga kasama din sa ministriya na gumagamit ng "kaliwang" kapangyarihan dahilan nga daw yaon ginagamit nilang medalya ng Santo ay hindi prescribed ng simbahan. Minsan din dapat tayo ay maghunos dili lalu na sa larangan ng pakikidigmang espiritwal. Minsan iyong mga taong hinihinala nating kampon ng kadiliman ay siya palang kakampi at katuwang natin sa larangan ng Combate Espiritual.

MESSAGE OF OUR DEAR MOTHER MARY

I have been meditating for a while, when the Lord led me to this message, which i would want to share to you. This is taken from the Little Blue Book entitled : "TO THE PRIESTS, OUR LADY'S BELOVED SONS".

"I have chosen you precisely because of your littleness, your poverty. Jesus looks with pleasure and with predilection on the small, the pure of heart, the simple.
Be ever thus!

And so never look at yourself, because I will make you the gift of leaving you with your faults.

My Son, Jesus does not love you for what you can do, but for yourself. He loves you just as you are. It is not your merits but only his love which draws Him strongly to you.

I also, your MOTHER, love you just as you are: even with your defects, as long as you are striving to correct them. And if they give you a true measure of your littleness, even they will help me to make you more my own". (BLUE BOOK MSG.80 (a) to (e),)
